Do you prepare electrical drawings for PC-controlled equipment?
Yes. Complete electrical design and drawings are available for both PLC-controlled and PC-controlled equipment. The PC control program's operation is reviewed, and I/O and communication specifications are confirmed with the software developer. Power and control wiring are documented in electrical drawings, component positions in panel layouts, and device communication links in network diagrams. Share the control method, operation, major components and available information to discuss the complete design scope and schedule.
What is included in an outsourced electrical design project?
The scope covers complete electrical design for industrial equipment and automated machinery, including power, control, I/O and communications. Deliverables comprise electrical drawings, panel layouts and communication network diagrams. Retrofit work also considers how changes relate to the complete equipment configuration.
What do electrical drawings, panel layouts and communication network diagrams cover?
Electrical drawings document power and control circuits, wiring, terminals and other electrical connections. Panel layouts show component positions and arrangements inside the panel. Communication network diagrams show the communication methods and connection structure between control devices. All three are coordinated to form the complete electrical design for the equipment.
Do you review drawings for UL and CSA requirements for US and Canadian exports?
Yes. Y-Delta Eng. reviews and refines electrical drawings for export equipment using experience with UL 508A, CSA and IEC requirements. The destination, equipment purpose, and customer and assessment-body requirements are reviewed first. Design support and certification assessment or issuance are discussed as separate scopes.
Can I request revisions or retrofit design for existing equipment?
Yes. Existing equipment drawing reviews, revisions and retrofit design can be discussed. Share the current drawings, intended operational changes, added or replacement components and actual site conditions so their impact on the complete configuration can be reviewed.
Can you proceed if the drawings do not match the actual equipment?
Differences between the drawings and actual equipment are reviewed first. Change records and available information are used to decide whether further checks or a site visit are needed. The drawing revision scope is then agreed with the complete equipment configuration in mind.
What happens if equipment specifications change during design?
Changes to operation, components and control specifications are assessed for their impact on the complete electrical configuration. After confirming requirements with the control software developer, the revision scope, schedule and costs are agreed, and the changes are reflected in the relevant drawings, layouts and network diagrams.
What information is needed for an electrical design quotation?
Please share the equipment purpose and operating description, available drawings, PLC or PC control method, major components, complete configuration, design requirements, deadline, destination country and required standards. If information is incomplete, identify what is available and what is undecided. Scope and schedule are agreed after review.
How are design fees and project duration determined?
They depend on circuit complexity, drawing count, the completeness of existing information, retrofit scope, required standards, site checks and build management needs. A quotation and schedule are agreed after reviewing the equipment and drawings, rather than applying a single fixed price or lead time.
Do you also manage control panel fabrication after design?
For projects requiring fabrication, coordination of partner personnel and suppliers and progress management from kickoff to delivery can be discussed. Please indicate whether you need drawings only or also fabrication personnel and schedule management.
Can I work with you on an outsourced or freelance basis?
Yes. As a freelance electrical designer, I undertake complete equipment electrical design on an outsourced basis. You can request design work alone or discuss including build project management. Scope, schedule and quotation are based on the equipment specifications and available information.
Can electrical design work be carried out remotely?
Electrical design services are available throughout South Korea. Design work is coordinated remotely, with site visits for stages requiring on-site review, such as initial equipment checks and fabrication kickoff. The scope, schedule and costs of visits are agreed for each project.
Which design tools and delivery file formats do you use?
The tools used are AutoCAD and PDF. Required delivery formats and scope, including editable drawing files and review documents, are agreed before work begins.
How can I send drawings or photographs?
Use the website inquiry form to share your company and contact name, phone number, email and equipment specifications. Attach up to 3 files with a combined size of 8MB. Please send larger files to [email protected].
How do you handle materials shared during consultation or project work?
We understand that a single drawing can contain years of accumulated expertise, know-how and customer confidential information whose value cannot be measured in money. We do not publicly disclose any materials entrusted to us, provide them to third parties, or use them for promotion. Materials provided for consultation or quotation review are used solely for that purpose. If no contract is concluded, they are disposed of once the review is complete.
